My dear friend Waleed has been through unimaginable challenges. After escaping the war in Gaza, he is now in Egypt, trying to find a future, not only for himself, but for his family who depends on him. He has found a rare and urgent opportunity to reach safety and stability in Europe with two trusted friends who have successfully arranged this route before. But the window is small, and time is running out.
Waleed has never asked for anything unless it was absolutely necessary. He’s a person full of dignity, strength, and resilience, and it’s been incredibly hard for him to keep depending on others for help. But this moment is different, this is his chance to finally be able to work, to build a life, and to send support back to his family.
To make this journey possible, he urgently needs to raise $5,000. This will cover the full cost of the travel process, which has already been successfully completed by others he knows.
